ironically, this is about ME
for those that have known me for years, you will recognize this story
as it has happened once before in my 36 years of being alive
after smasher joined our family, i blogged about my hair loss
and while there was some comfort to know this is a postpartum side affect, i was ready to move forward in life with half my hair and look into some voluminous shampoo.
but wait.
wait 6 months. and suddenly i am face to face with new baby hair.
it's been growing unseen the past few months
but it's now visible
you little brown hairs
bless you for being brown
and for coming back
when this happened back in college, i had a morning regime.
each morning those little baby hairs would be spiking up at attention
'look at me!'
so i would gel those babies, bobby pin them down and wait til they laid down
that would get me thru at least a few hours without the embarrassment of these spikes
now in my season of being a mom, with 2 real babies
i don't have time to pay much attention to these baby hairs
other than to give them a few affectionate pats after a shower before i'm off and running
so please excuse my appearance
my bonus bangs
i'd love to say this is the new urban hipster hair
(to go along with my urban hipster amish clothes)
but really, i'm just helping raise these babies so they can grow up big and strong

i totally remember the spikes! we lived in la salle, right? (is that the name of the apt where i roomed with nicole?)
too funny that they are back.
sister, thanks for babysitting my babies. all of them. and kacie! the spikes were with me at arlington farms. then we moved to la salle and you and nicole had bunk beds in a room the size of a closet. the apt that had to be fumigated because the upstairs neighbors (who you communicated with via the broom handle) had ants and cockroaches climbing up our walls. i luff the memories!
